NC4 and a bit - 2025 Day 3
One of the best, if not THE best days' riding that we have ever done, anywhere, any time!!!!!
The ride started out with brilliant sunshine in our eyes whilst we travelled east for a few miles. We then turned north and headed for Applecross. There were no vehicles of any description in front of us and we rode to Applecross, around the headland and up to the top of the twists without coming across another vehicle!
Got peckish though so we eventually stopped for a bacon buttie and coffee in Applecross itself. Some nutter of a lad was just starting his 53 day walk around the NC 500 - good luck as he'd just had 2 hip replacements!
We headed for Ullerpool, where we thought a light spot of lunch would be good. Oh no!!! not light lunch at all. We had the biggest Mussels ever seen and brilliantly cooked. Sourced locally from the farms that we had just ridden past. We then had linguine with a big fat prawn and millions of little prawn. It was incredibly tasty to say the least.
